Creation of the program

Originally referred to as tiered foster care, it was one of 37 recommendations from a statewide advisory council aimed at improving outcomes for Ohio’s children and families. This recommendation came from professionals in the system and individuals with lived experience.

County-based pilot projects are forming in Ohio to create programs tailored to help the children in those communities. Allen County is partnering with Auglaize and Hardin counties for a tri-county collaboration.
