Caseworker I - Investigations
Assesses cases of alleged child abuse, neglect or dependency, request for service cases and conducts courtesy interviews as requested. Receives potential intake reports, assesses all complaints received pertaining to child abuse/neglect (from hospitals, doctors, neighbors, schools, law enforcement agencies, etc.), verifies that information received is valid, analyzes data, and prepares data for family risk assessment matrix by maximizing family and community involvement, and with high level of consultation, decides what action is needed.
Completion of Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field required. Masters Degree is desirable. Six months experience in child protection. Must have a valid State of Ohio Driver's License.
Pay Range: $13.68 to $21.90
Normal working hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Some evenings and weekend work may be required.
